Spacious and Gracious at 82 York Road

82 York Road is a substantial and handsome tile-hung house. It is set in a mature garden with old brick walls and York stone paving which allows plenty of privacy for sitting out in fine weather. At the back of the house there is a terrace with an awning that can be extended to provide shade in the summer. Inside the house is spacious and bright, with a large hall and elegant staircase. The lounge is furnished with easy chairs and has large sliding glass doors to the terrace. There is a lift to the first floor, for those who find stairs tiring. Upstairs on the first floor landing there is a 'computer corner' with a broadband connection for the use of residents.

For security the house is fitted with a modern video-phone entry system. The fire and smoke alarms are tested regularly, and each resident is provided with a Safe-call personal alarm pendant. Because 82 York Road is a large family house that has been converted, each bed-sitting room is different in size and individual features but all have en suite bathrooms. The charges for each room reflect these differences.

 

Access to local shops and town is provided by a regular bus service stopping within easy walking distance of the front door.
